Packing List!



Clothing
A couple long dresses with sleeves.
Long, loose skirts. These should be below the knees or ankle length. -check
A few of loose-fitting , comfortable, lightweight, short-sleeved shirts and a few no sleeves.-check
A light jacket or a sweatshirt, because it can actually get cold there at night. -check
Undergarments. Consider cotton or a good wicking fabric such as those used for backpacking
Shorts, no denim. -check
Plenty of sports bras.
A lightweight rain jacket. -check
Flip flops and sports sandles. Every blog on Fiji says Chacos are best.
Good pair of old running shoes size 7
Sunglasses and Hats. Though they are forbidden in the villages, I will want them when I go out.
Swimsuits. For obvious reasons.
Spankx or biking shorts for under the skirts and dresses
Swim shirts and board shorts.

Technology:
Cheap netbook to keep pictures and movies on.  
Waterproof camera
External Hard Drive (500G)?? If I get a netbook
Flash Drives!!
Mini speaker for my iPad

Kitchen and Home:
Small sharp scissors for cutting hair
Resistance band
2-3 sharp kitchen knives (good ones!!!)
A knife sharpener
Plastic cutting boards
Sturdy water bottle- check
Teas!! Preferably tropical ones from teanava if you are willing to purchase lol
Good pens and stationary
Onion powder, garlic powder, seafood seasoning, paprika, cinnamon, chile pepper and any other seasonings you think I'll need to live off of!!
Sewing Kit
Micro-fiber towels (because they dry fast)
Maps (to decorate my walls and to show people where I am from)
American novelty items (to give as gifts to my host family, logo hats-shirts, magnets, touristy items)
can opener

Miscellaneous:
Scrapbooks and pictures of home!!
snorkeling equipment
Children’s books (hard to find there and not cheap)
Arts and crafts supplies:I'm going to have this sent over  
Games and cards to play
Small travel rust-free umbrella
Large Ziplock bags (to place electronics in so the humidity doesn’t run them)
Duct Tape
Silica Gel-packets brands put in good shoes so they don't get moldy from moisture or smell bad!
Diva Cup- women look it up
Good backpack thank you VMB for an amazing birthday present :)-check
Sleep travel sheet/liner. (for when you visit other volunteers)
EAR PLUGS!
Ant traps- no seriously I want them


Peace Corps/Fiji will supply me with a huge first aid kit, all the bug spray and sunscreen I’ll ever need, and a water purifier
